Good lookingFirst calf off of my gizmo bull. Not a big cow but I have about 5 more cows due to calve any time. Can't wait to see how these calves grow out.View attachment 55118View attachment 55119
There is a gate 20 ft down from there that he couldn’t figure out how to go thru.Good lookingcalf ! Is he on the wrong side of the fence ?
This is actually a cow that was accidentally bred at 6 months old to my old bull. Thankfully she calved with no issues. Didn’t know she was bred until it was too late. It will probably be a shorter calf but should be thick.Good looking pair. Keep us updated on the calves's progress. Hopefully this will be the start of a better run.

Curious what the neighbor had to say about it.
After the bull came thru the fence a few more time I penned him up and loaded him on the trailer. Me and my neighbor took him to the sale barn. Bull brought about $2500 so he was happy. Just going to rotate my bull in with his cows now so we don’t keep having this problem. Not that it's much consolation, but his last minutes he was being a bull doing bull things and kickin' butt.

Kind of. Not charging much. Not having to fix a fence a few times a month is about worth it to me. Hoping one day I can just buy his place so keeping relations good for now.Charging rent?

That sounds like a neighborly solution and an uncommon twist to the adage "good fences make good neighbors."Kind of. Not charging much. Not having to fix a fence a few times a month is about worth it to me. Hoping one day I can just buy his place so keeping relations good for now.
I guess I've gotten rusty in my abscence from the board. Much obliged for the assist.See? I works really well.
We just saw our third calf..... black as the proverbial ace of spades out of black baldy cow by an Angus. Not a white hair on it which surprised us as well.Second calf on the ground with the first calf hanging around also. Two bull calves so far. Well one steer and soon to be steer. Surprised this one didn’t have any white on it.
