. . . . Is for us, anyway, but a good one. Just finishing up laying in about 3,000+ ft. of 4" mainline, buried 4 ft. under, to get irrigation coverage through our long and narrow piece of ground that's divided into about 4 pieces currently. We can x-fence the biggest chunk. We'll use a couple big gun sprinklers we already had to run off conveniently spaced risers, and we're splurging for a reel line, too, and should be able to cover about everything. County conservation district will pay 50%, not to exceed $4K on the project, but $4K won't come close to half. In the end, it'll save us $$ on hay -- maybe not this year, when we already know water will be short, but later. And when we're too tired and decrepit to mess with cattle, we shouldn't have any trouble leasing out the ground with adjacent handling facilities.
