On Sunday we took my son's 5 yr old cow to vet to get stitched up for vaginal prolapse. Vet checked her to see how far along she was, we had her figured at about 7 months, exactly what he said. He said she could abort in the next 2-5 days after being stitched up. On Tuesday she was off by herself, checked on her and she had a large amount of mucous and has had every day since. Is this something to be concerned with? Vet says it's normal after the prolapse being put back in. If she calved now at 7 months would the calf live?
