I took a few pics this afternoon when I was out checking the hay feeders. Here are a couple of my favorite young raised commercial cows (one is a heifer). They were both sired by my Huth T021 bull.

I really like their body type. The first one raised a great steer calf this year.

I loosened the tight hay bale in a cradle for some weaning calves. Calves are just not as good as cows at tearing apart a tightly rolled 1600 lb round bale. One steer decided he would kneel down and get the good stuff that I shook loose! These are some of the calves sired by my Huth U070 bull.

fwiw. BTW most of whats on the ground around the cradle came from ME loosening the bale and will be cleaned up by the calves before I put another bale in.

Thanks. This cow family is always the first to slick up in the spring and the last to put on their winter overcoat in the fall. Both cow and heifer are due to calve in late March. They are both in good condition to head into winter in WI.
