We had a big surprise yesterday. Our son's 2nd heifer to calve gave us a shocking surprise.
She had been bull bred by accident on may 9thm, gave her a shot of lute and few days later used cidr and AI'd after. Friends of ours that do all AI'ing said it was a sure thing.
We called them about 3 weeks ago since she was really looking like she could go soon, again they said no way the lute wouldn't have worked. Husband went to the barn yesterday morning and found her calving, scared him since she aborted at 6 months a year ago, she has a healthy 71# heifer!

sorry im new here.... could someone explain "lute"
lute is used for 2 reasons.1 is to sync heifers or cows an bring them into heat.so you can AI them.or 2 to make a heifer that got bred to young slump or abort her calf.

well the calf was supposed to be a gert but the bull that hopped the fence was a simmi. It was just a shock.
