They look great and so does your grass - I take it these are YEARLING heifers? What do you mean by "this year's" heifers? They look a bit big to have been born this year. Sorry but I am new to cow/calf and don't understand a lot of cattle terminology.
 
Those are some very handsome heifers, there wewild. Curiousity question: what grass is that you have in the pic?

They were too small to sell in November and were separated out this April. We calve year round. They will be bred this winter.

The other heifer pasture has last years heifers. I guess it means the year they are retained for us.

Thank you. I don't know except some folks call it the old fescue. It hasn't had anything drilled here in my recall.
