4 loners

i have 16 holstein calves in a lot and 4 of them seem to be loners.they only come to eat there grain in the morning and lay in the woods the rest of the day are these calves getting dehydrated or what.they get around slowly and lay alot but they do get up to graze on the grass...any comments would be appreciated

They are holsteins and they are too dumb to eat unless it is placed immediately in front of them.

maybe they drink when you are not there, unless they are sick, how old are they

As long as they seem to be getting around okay, I wouldn't worry about them. They are probably drinking when you're not around. Some cows would just prefer to be off to themselves.. maybe the others in the herd are picking on them.
