2025 Bull and Projects

I am no trader but I think you have done real well. Those young black cows would be worth keeping around if that suits your program or should make you pretty good money with a summer time cleanup and a breed back. Those others you bought and cleaned up should work out well for you too.

Yep!
I've let it down at far as it'll go @kenny thomas
That truck is high!
We call it Willie Nelson..... 😂

The hay spike that slides on requires the ball to be above the bed. That's gonna change soon as I don't wanna be sliding that beast on and off of the bed any more. The new bed will probly be worth more than the truck. But it's gonna happen soon enough....
Then I'll have a flatbed and a slide on hay spike for sale. 🙃

The young cows are coming along pretty decent. The one with the reddish thick hair is not slicking off as nice as I'd like, but summer ain't here yet either.
Calves are growing like little weeds, tho I lost one steer.

Bull buying time in a couple weeks and then we will see how they breed up.

I've still got 2 cows hanging back when I feed. But they are settling down some. Range cows take a while to get with the program. Still a little thin, but already looking much better I think.

I picked up 3 bull calves Saturday for a song.
The two 300lb black ones were de-horned, tagged, wormed, banded with my new big bander and given a shot of covexin-8
They were just under 1000
The 400lb bmf bull got the same, cept he's polled. He was bit higher, but a steal at 1300 I think. All weaned 60 days and it shows. They should really take off now!
I should really invest in some implants for my initial workup. I've seen good results in the past, but using the vet is awful expensive for something I can do myself.

The plan is to eat 2 of em next spring. Graze em all til fall this year and sell 2 to offset costs of the ones we are gonna butcher. (I need to get ONE MORE bought)

Straight to work. Someone took a beating by holding these guys 60 days and not de-horning or castrating. Thin and good!

Here's my new mirror and stock trailer. Been saving for quite some time to get a pretty good trailer. 6x16 Gooseneck. 99 model Ponderosa

I like that truck. Don't see them much anymore, especially hauling a gooseneck. Need a few more pics of it.
