Husband and I noticed that one of the heads on our disc bine was staying warmer than the others. We looked it up in the owners manual. It read to take the head apart check the level of the grease and add EP 0 if needed. Well of course it needed some...so we added what we had which is EP. No 0 or any other numbers. We looked up grease and of course there are many different kinds rated for different things. After we added the grease and put everything back the way it is supposed to be we turned it on for 3-4 minutes (just running it not cutting with it). We checked the heads and what do you know the same head was way warmer than any of the others! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

Could the head bolt be over torqued? it calls for 160 and our wrench only goes to 130. It was late and didnt try to losen....

EP-0 is cornhead grease. It's a lot thinner than normal grease and will help it run a little cooler but I bet the bearing is probably on the way out.

Thanks ohiosteve! Gonna finish the job and let ya know how it works....prefer grease over bearings any day lol
