Disc maintenance

Just a quick question on discs - I was thinking some people sharpen shovels, not razor sharp but just put a light edge on them. Should we do that with discs?

There is a special disk blade sharpener. I think years ago farmers did it a lot. Not so much anymore. Of course there are very few disks still used around here any more.

the sandy soil always kept ours sharp as a razor, then eventually as thin as one.
