I just put up an aeromotor..water pumping windill..its 100 yrs old....spins when ya cant even feel wind..why complicate stuff....less than 5 grand in it..maint free for ever

the first 15 yrs youll be investing everything you make back into optimizing yer herd and facilities...200 cows means 400 animals plus15 bulls? you can run that for even 6 mos on that amt of land?

we feed ours eveyr cpl days inside he pens..easy peasy

pen em..rope em..tie em off..walk down thr rope..straddle and hook the legs with your legs..reach under and apply band..takes 2 min..i do all of em by myself..hundreds..

also I use panels..they are 10' and weigh 150 lbs each..but I also have a post in the ground and them chained to it..i can move em or leave em..keeps a rank bull in also

my guy here is almost exactly the same cept those guts go into a plastic drum as he does that part hanging up ......he doesn't leave anything but a wet spot.....that boy needs to get him a chainmail glove for that holding hand...someday hell wish he had.....does a nice job tho...dying breed...

my vet did say use the captan also..but then told me to save abunch of money just use 50% bleach and water...worked well...I have a thread on this somewhere
