As Promised- 2 year old Sitz Alliance 6595 son on pasture.

Nice looking bull. We have a Sitz Alliance 6595 son also and we have been very happy with him. Going to keep the heifers we got out of him this year. He's almost three and has a great personality and does his job well. We are going to let him cover this year and switch to AI, but we have been...

Sell as bull or meat? (photos)

dj, I am only running 6 cows right now, and hubby works so I am home to AI when I see heat. I would like to sell him as a cleanup bull to someone, as he has been a good herd bull for us. As for my AI percentage we shall see, dairy farm close too me has been teaching me in trade for milking help...

Sell as bull or meat? (photos)

All the calves averaged 79#. We run a very small herd of 6 cows, that's why we are going to AI. All the calves are gaining well and the steers look like little tanks. Heifers have nice feminine look to them. The bull has a good temperment, no problems, we just thought going to AI we could...

Sell as bull or meat? (photos)

This our herd bull that we will be selling this year. He is registered angus out of Sitz Alliance 6595. He has done a good job for us so far and we will be using him again this year and then switch to AI. I just wanted an opinion if he was worth selling as a herd bull to someone else, or if I...

    Our first heifer calf....pics

Mom is not the most cooperative cow. She is our problem child, everything is her way and in her own good time. She's not mean, not aggressive just a pure herd BRAT. If something happens around here, you can always bet she was right in the middle of it. And it seems like her calf is going to be...

opinions on sitz alliance and his sons????

Our bull in out of 6595, he is 2 now. Waiting to see what kind of calves we get out of him. Bull seems to have a nice temperment, and is maturing nicely. First calf we got out of him was to a heifer and it was still born, weighed 52#. I'm also curious to see what everyone has to say about it.

Our first bull, what do you think

Well the AI tech blamed in on the cows body condition score one time, and he was probably right. We have a hard time keeping our cows weight down. Another time it was him being late when the cows were in standing heat. And after the last time, we just went and bought a bull. Since we had already...

Our first bull, what do you think

SF, You are right and we have already tried to AI three times before with no luck. We thought this way would be more sutible for our needs. I have no idea how to AI a cow so we are at the mercy of the AI tech. We bought this bull because he has a BW on the lower side, and his numbers weren't...
