    beefmaster cows

i see what you are saying but the point i was making is they are not a popular breed where i live. breed is a personal preference and some breeds work better for some than they do for others.

    beefmaster cows

if a beefmaster walks into the sale ring he will autoomatically be $.20 cheaper no matter what the quality or breeding. no one wants them around here. i wouldn't pay $2500 for 3 bred cows. its not because i dont like them, its because they wont have any resale value and their calves wont bring...

    angus embyo question

Him and his vet have been discussing it and want to try the heifers. He has them and a place to watch them so hopefully it isnt that bad. I guess i was asking what kind of cow would compliment this bull nicely, to put it clearer. sorry about that.

    angus embyo question

I know a guy that wants to try embryos. He has chosen New Design 878 as the bull, but what is a good cow or line of cows that would compliment this bull to produce good embryos. edit: he plans to put the embryos in first-calf heifers and use the female offspring to add heifers/cows to his herd

    18 month old Limousin

well, its too late to sell him, he's dead. he was an FFA project. I agree, angus are a good breed of cattle, some would argue the best. I am not going to disagree, but my family raises limousins so they are what i must stick with for a while longer

Thanks for the input DOC HARRIS. The vet did a biopsy and fount the bit of wire. I don't know how long it had been in him. We noticed him being lethargic and his temp was high. Figured it was an infection and put him on penicillan. This started about a month before he died. First time its...

    18 month old Limousin

His yearling weight was about 700. His 18 month weight was just tipping the scale at 1000lbs. He was the lightest steer in his class. I do think feed played a big part. He was fed a maintainence grain from yearling on until finishing time. I didnt know the difference.I think i underfinished as...
