    First Calf - Thoughts?

Thank you very much. I think this next time I'm going to breed her to someone with a lot more bone and depth on the back end. I'm still learning, but i think thats what he needs more of.

    First Calf - Thoughts?

Thanks! You know I honestly don't know. I had him priced at 900. But i live in a very suburban area, and no one wants to show steers because you have to send them to slaughter. It's silly, but the truth. Anyways, I can't find a buyer so he's headed to market unfortunatley on Thursday. I need...

    % bulls to heifers

I dont know if this has anything to do with it, but at my schools show barn, we AI'd 5 heifers. Our results were 4 hefiers and one bull calf. All of the show heifers have much more weight on them than the heifer that had the bull calf. I know that the fatter a cow is, the harder it is to breed...

    Arthrogryposis Multiplex (AM) ??-?

Okay so its NOT a bad decision to keep her? She's my best heifer of the three i have. I do not know if she is a carrier yet, I'm a new Angus member so i just read all of this on the AAA website a couple days ago. It's a lot to learn and take in. Anyways, I'm lucky enough to have bred her with a...

Young Angus Breeder Looking for Advice.

I am a young breeder, who started trhough FFA. It is time for me to re-breed my oldest cow. She is a larger framed female who could use some added style, and bone. I am in the show buissness, not commerial. Can anyone reccommend some good Angus Sires? (AMF of course.) Thanks, Kaitlin

    Arthrogryposis Multiplex (AM) ??-?

I didn't look to see if this was an active board, and I'm only a kid, so dont get mad if i sound un educated or naive. I am a new Angus breeder, i started through FFA and i have 3 heifers. My best heifer might be a AM carrier. I don't understand why you can't register AM carries in the Angus...
