? about care of dog close to having pups.

If you would like to have her inside with them a plastic kiddie pool with a beach towel on the bottom works pretty well. Also after she has them start mixing her food with puppy food gradually until she's just eating puppy food. The extra calcium and calories in it are good for milk production.

    Laryngeal Paralysis

As a vet tech for 20 years I’ve seen a few of these. Our vets recommend having debarking surgery done on them. It removes some of the skin making it easier for the dogs to breathe naturally. Maybe ask your vet about it.

Best preventative for ticks on mature dogs??

I double up on the tick preventatives for my dogs. I use the generic Frontline Plus (fipronil) and Preventic collars. The fipronil needs reapplying every month but the Preventic collars last all tick season up here (April-mid Nov).

Dumb question I guess. Can I use burdizzos on a tomcat?

Cats and dogs need to be cut not banded or anything else. We see some of these attempted neuterings at the vet I work for and it doesn't work well for them (usually massive infection and high $). There are some spay/neuter clinics around the country that neuter feral/outside cats for free though.

I used to raise show rabbits (Mini lops). Rabbits are very easy to raise, breed and take care of. I always thought meat rabbits would be a good deal. Aprille
