I went back to Larto this weekend bass fishing, which slowed down big time we only caught 3 this trip, and talked to a couple bream fisherman that were on the north end of the lake. They were catching real good around the big island with crickets, fishing under duck blinds.

Hundreds if not thousands around our rice fields.

It was a 20 acre private lake that was once stocked then "let go" so we drained it and pulled a sein net through drainage ditch. We had to pull it with two four wheelers and could only pull 100yards at a time. We litteraly caught two truck loads or fish. The small gars, carp, buffalo, goo and...

What a dumb A$$ , but I would rather loose my saltwater tackle since it is mostly hooks and weights with a couple top waters and a few DOA shrimp. Now freshwater tackle is where I sepnd some cash if you have a dozen bags of worms, a dozen crank baits, spinner baits, rat-l-traps, topwaters, jigs...

The bass are hot. Went yesterday and caught twelve and added eight more to that this morning. Caught them mostly on a Ribbit and a few on a Brush Hog. The water is falling but still a little high. Might be even better this weekend :cboy:

Its been out for a couple of years now, but that is still new. It shoots faster and flatter than the comperable .22-250 and .220 swift with similar knock down power using less powder whats not to love. But then again Im not a varmit hunter.

BTW dont forget the Sand Trout they are smaller but luckely I can Fillet a pretty small fish. Their meat is almost translousent.
