You continue to amaze me with your ability to get things done. I thought that I was pretty tough but compared to you I am a wimp. I truly hope things are better now and your husband is soon well.

Sixty percent calves on ground. All healthy. Eighty percent bulls so far. Pulled a large bull calf with good results. The rest should calve by the end of April. We have been blessed.

That is a beautiful calf. Wonder what he thought when he left that warm environment that mama provided and hit that cold, cold ice.

We recently finished our heifer calving season and it went smooth as silk. Three of the four calves are doing really well, the other one was born early but we had no problems getting the calves here. The bull was a LBW Black Angus. Good Luck!

Our cows will average 1075 lbs. The bull we used on them weighed 1600 to 1800 this past year. In his prime he weighed more and we had no problems with him. I prefer 1800 to 2000.
