Best knot for HT barbed wire

Thanks. T posts are 15' apart and the stays are 7 1/2'. It maybe overkill but I didn't want the cows sticking their heads through the fence and pushing on it.

Thanks for the write up and pics. Looks interesting. I might like to try to build one. Do you have a video attaching it to a roll and using it?

Best knot for HT barbed wire

I've been using Gripples for a couple years and they are great! The reason I was asking about the best knot for HT barbed wire is I was running a little short on Gripples because my order was delayed. Joining the wire with knots and using the Gripples I have when tensioning will let me finish...

    Temporary electric advise

Thanks for the replies. My cows are somewhat familiar with electric because I did a short run of perimeter electric fence earlier this year. They checked it out for a couple days but paid no attention after that.

    Tree puller question

I ordered MTL tree/ post puller instead of the Titan and got it early this morning. Everything about it looks good, welds, heavy construction, paint and protected cylinder. At my request the company swapped out the flat face couplers for ag couplers. After checking it over I put it right to...

    fence tips and tricks

Rumble strips was exactly what I had in mind. I actually went to the DOT last Monday and spoke with the secretary, the engineer was off that day. She was to give my contact info to him and have him call me but he hasn't called yet. ccr- the panels sounds like a great idea. Replacing a couple...

    fence tips and tricks

In addition to the guy tearing this section down. Also this week, had one guy slide through the stop sign/ intersection and comes to rest against another section of fence but didn't tear it up. Pulled him out of the ditch and he offered to pay but I just sent him on his way. Two days later...

    fence tips and tricks

    fence tips and tricks

Any tips for catching the SOB that does this and then flees the scene? Bad part is that I just finished it last week. Took out a corner with 8" posts broke off all at the ground, high tensile fixed knot wire and a strand of HT barbed wire.

    Tree puller question

I have trees growing in 1/2 mile long fence line and Im going to clean it up. I want to cut them down with the chainsaw but the fence runs along the highway. I can't let them fall in the road and can't let them fall back across the fence. The trees range in size from saplings to 8" in diameter...

    Danuser Hammer- Any tips?

I drove in about a dozen more posts today. Things seemed to go a little better but getting those warped posts to drive in straight is still a challenge. Having a helper on the ground today helped too. My Hammer is supposed to have the weight kit but I haven't pulled the weight out to verify...

    Danuser Hammer- Any tips?
