Ive called it a sticker weed . Growing in pasture and around where hay was feed. Google sticker weed that to generic . Wanting to spray to kill also to prevent next year. Plant has one stem, many branches ,plant get large and stickers in stem . Blooming now. I know pics would help sorry.Thanks rj

I think the barn I put hay in is 32x54x14 . I stack on end 4x5 3 high . 177 bales Wish I had another barn. Just wish I could keep the coons out . rj

A good fertilizer program will help a lot with the fescue . Check around for some one with a notill subsoiler . It will take a big horse out front to pull . Will loosen soil with very little disturbance to the surface. It may cost 30 to 40 an acre to have it done . good luck .rj

When posted pasture I ment hay field . Just picked the field this past weekend . I've tried twice frost seeding clover . Both time were a bust . But I know of some that have good luck .rj

Here in southern Il. JG is hard to get rid of if it get established . It also grows from rhizomes in the soil which are invasive . I understand different areas have different type of hay they feed or graze . Field edges and ditches it grows and grows here . Hope u have a different option to use...

Sound like a great set up you put together . You don't need the hay any more ? If you need the hay I would try to find a good operator to put the hay up for me. Pay according to how well the hay was put up . Tough call on set price . Fertilizer and building repair could be expense. rj

Do most folks take a 2nd cutting of grass hay in your area ? We've had a wetter than normal growing season .The first cutting was baled way late due to having to much rain . Made 2nd cutting today . Weather this week looks great for making hay. This hay should be much better quality . rj
