Alfalfa pellets ain't even cost effective.Durin tha times what I provide extra protein ta my girls (post-calvin ta breedback) I do it with QLF Super40. A 5 gallon bucket goes ALOT farther than a bag a those pellets. Cheaper, too.

I couldn't be agreein more. I be cut down ta just a few yard ornaments these days but ya can be sure I'll be runnin stock tank heaters this winter. A good warm drink helps keep body temps up on cold nights, sorta like a cup a hot coffee does fer us. Don't leave em ta eat snow!

That would be a nice way ta go but lordy, the last I checked around here ( and that be a while back) the goin rate was $13 an acre and $7-9 a big round bale.And that was back when diesel was way under $2 a gallon. Last I bought (last week) was $4.29 a gallon. I could only imagine what tha cost...
