    Dead Bull from trailer

Did they not take into account the heat and how long the animal had been without water? I would think that if the animals well being was any kind of issue, those things might have factored in his capture.

    AI Costs

You have all been a great help. I was wondering about if i was going to have to buy a tank, im glad to know that the vet might store it for me. I am looking into this now so I can get all the details in order for when my heifers are ready. Do you have to use virgin heifers ? I have some 1st calf...

    AI Costs

What does it approximately cost to AI heifers in texas? I have never done this, not even sure if my vet can do it , but I am curious to see if its cheaper to AI than it is to just buy a bull. I was thinking about semen running about $20 a straw and I am not real sure about what other costs are...

Several questions about my year old heifer.....

Her mooing might mean shes lookin for a man(bull). They can drive you crazy with that mess.Be careful getting around her if shes doing that alot, she might get a little rough. My sweet baby that I bottle raised tried to mount me when she was "lookin for love". I sent her to the bull ASAP. Fixed...

    Goats

Has anyone ever heard of using a goat to help with your bottle calves? I have tried it , it works great if you have one thats not eating well or kinda slow to get going. The goat kinda bonds with the weak one and they pair up and before you know it the calf is eating and doing great with his new...

    Hydrgen peroxide

Farmers injecting their cattle with H202????.........Dont know about that, I thought if you injected it, you would be injecting air into them. If you did it in a vein , it would kill them. I dont think injecting it in a muscle or under the skin would be a good idea either. I asked this question...

    Hay consumption (Horse vs Cattle)

Theres also a difference in that a horse will eat the grass down to the dirt and a cow usually wont. If you put cows in one pasture and horses in another , the cow pasture will stay in better shape, less weeds, looks better than the one with horses in it.JMO

    Calf Question

Sometimes bottle babies get big bellies, probably cheap milk. An old timer told me that about adding the egg. He said that it had to do with the protein in the egg. I havent tried it yet and thats why I was asking because I wanted to see if anybody else had tried. Its a;lso suppose to help with...

    Hydrgen peroxide

This is not the article I was reading but it covers part of what it said. I have never heard of this but it sounded good and thats why I asked. Heres the article I could find: Many farmers have reported good results from the use of food grade H202. Claims have been made of reduced disease...
