    I have been to that farm before...and they dont mind if you stop as long as you dont go over the fence...they are friendly people there...they dont think all people are going to steal from them

    I was driving past a beautiful cattle ranch in Michigan this past weekend and thier were about 25 - 30 cattle way out in the field. I went up to the gate and yelled...come here babies and all of them came running, I was able to pet them. Are all longhorns this friendly?? Annie

    I have spoke to a few farmers one of them has a large longhorn ranch and his wife and daughters take care of all the calve babies. He says the cows in general do much better when raised around women. (If the woman is gentle spirited). What do you think??

    I used to raise White Faced Herefords from babies up to about 300-400lbs for fun and a little profit. I have considered starting a business just to be available to take care of calves for farmers. Would there be a need for this? Any ideas? Thanks Annie
