4WD, I just broke down and got the M8540HDC 4x4 Cab with FEL. You will be very happy with that set up on your farm. The 8540 isnt much larger in overall size compared to the 7040 but its going to be a very good tractor for our cattle farm.

Yea I knew it would. We have a 6800 that had the same break in service. That oil and fluid sure did look to clean to change but I guess that just part of it

Thanks for the input. There not much price diff in the 7040 to 8540 to 9540. 8540 and 9540 are the same tractor/motor just more fuel and tire. I really beleive the M8540 Cab 4x4 FEL with hydroshuttle is all the pocketbook can stand and will be the best tractor for my set up at this time...

Whats everyones thoughts on the M8540. Im looking to buy the 8540 4WD cab to use on my cattle farm. Mainly used for bailing hay, notill ryegrass, and haying cattle. Only other option is the M7040. Any negative thoughts on this machine? Thanks
