    Connealy Commander

Go to Hoover angus website. Click on herd sires and see Commander progeny. I have a Connealy Commander son. Great docility even though his epds don’t show it. Great calves too.

    Linebreeding help please...

Trail boss's cross would end up 50% Big Red, 25% Foxy Lady and 25% Midnight Moon. Almost the same cross as taking Big Red and crossing with another cow. You would end up with 50% Big Red and 50% another cow.

    Linebreeding help please...

As long as you like Big Red, it would be a great cross. Not any different than crossing Big Red to a non related cow.

    Eye problem - pic

Looks like a corneal abrasion (from trauma) with surrounding corneal edema. Usually they clear on their own. If not in a week to ten days I would have the vet give an injection (subtenons) which is under the skin of the sclera (white part of eye) with steroids and that should do the trick. Hope...

    Adjusted weights on Angus

AAA adds pounds on to calves that were born to first calve heifers. Somebody told me today that the AAA does it also on calves that were born to old cows. Is this correct and how much do they add? Thanks.

Your Vote needed on an Angus you would select.

In an Angus Bull, if you had to make a choice. Would you pick a bull with great bloodlines and EPD's with poor phenotype or a bull with good phenotype and low EPD's and poorer quality bloodlines. This is for a commercial herd on cows.

What do you look for when choosing a Bull?

I agree with all the above comments. I'll just add, I look at their EPD's and make sure that the bull is expressing those EPD's by his 205 weight, yrly wt. Also lower birth with high growth.
