I am planning on putting down some clover seed soon. Our local FNH guy has a drill to rent for $200 day - I am only planting 50 pounds. The question - do I rent the drill or just spread it and maybe an extra 50 lbs to compensate for the germination loss. Seed is $135 /50 lbs Would the drill...

He also has offered to keep any straws we order in his tank at no charge. I really think he does a few of the farms arounf here to collect a bit of pocket change. I am not...

While choosing a bull to AI our cows to we looked to the Semex site. On the traits listing it shows " HPS: P/S " for one particular bull. On another bull it showed " HPS : Polled " From this I determined the HPS inicated horn status but what would the P/S indicate? thanks tom

    Hay Gouging?

Mike I have decided this year I am going to charge what I think is a fair profit. If folks don't want to pay that price thats fine. A big reason prices can be low is that some growers are afraid to say no. If everyone raises price this year to make up for our additional costs (fuel fertilizer...

    O.T. Are people getting stupider?

Sorry to disagree John but I suppose any question could be considered stupid to one who already knows the answer. Some questions may not be well thought out but I do not believe they are an indicator of a persons IQ. tom
