up here in Ohio we have been a bit dry and the hay is lagging behind a bit. We are due for some rain and I was wondering if it would be a good idea to put some triple 19 down to see if I can't get more growth before I take seconf cutting in a few weeks.
Any pros or cons? can I fertilize that close to cutting? will it help much?
any advice is good
thanks in advance

Fertilizing close to cutting won't hurt anything.

We put down dry fertilizer right when there is a little growth after the winter. The once it gets up we hit it with a liquid nitrogen and weed killer.

After we cut the first time the grass shoots up quick because the fertilizer is still in the plant/ soil.
