Some pictures from today - waterer & transition corn grazing

Wow, am I ever glad I stumbled upon this thread! I can't wait to try feeding cows in standing corn! It is getting SO expensive to harvest this stuff, all to turn around and feed it to the cows all over again. I think I will try it this way and see how it turns out. I am surprise more guys aren't...

Honda bigred are john deer gator

None in particular, the Ranger-Kobota-Gator seem to rule the roost. What I meant by what I said is it really comes down to how you care for it, oil changes-air filters-grease go a long way, as does keeping the machine clean and not trying to destroy it day in\out. I like to really go above and...

Honda bigred are john deer gator

You get what you pay for, don't buy a piece of crap and expect it to last forever, buy a good one and take good care of it and it will pay for itself may times over!

    Zero Turn Lawn Mowers

I would never use a riding lawn mower after using a zero turn. As for holding a beer and mow at the same time, after you get used to mowing I only use one hand anyways, just put my left hand in the middle of the two joysticks and away I go. I use Scag's for 9 1\2 years, they were the best of...

    Zero Turn Lawn Mowers

I have done lawncare for 13 years, if I had to buy a mower next week I would buy a Hustler commercial series with a 60in. deck and Kohler carb. gas motor, I think they are 33hp.

    Chisel Plow or Not?

Have you thought about sub-soiling it?

    Which Chainsaw

I have done lawncare\landscaping for 13 years and the secret to never having a problem has been to use equipment often and hard. When not in use at the end of fall we empty the fuel tank and tun it upside down and shake every last drop out of the tank, then we fire it up on fumes and run what...

    JD 4430

You need to know what trans. is in the tractor and to know that they use a lot of fuel for no reason. If I were going to get one it would need to be on 38in. rear rubber. Money talks if it is cheap and a good tractor then great, if not then keep walking untill you find you a red one...

    New laptop.

I have a crappy high dollar HP, I could have bought 3-4 laptops for what I have put into this one. The computer guy I deal with swears by Dells, that will be my next one, he told me to buy one for my next laptop, he knows I drop mine and rip the cord out of it daily, man am I ruff on it!

    Tire Decision

DO NOT put wider tires on those wheels! Get you some Firestone Transforce A\T's in the same size, side wall flex has more to do with the tire itself not the width.

    gas in your diesel

This guy doesn't have a common rail Duramax or Cummin's, he has a old 444 Powerstroke, the HPOP will eat atf like candy. You do know what a HPOP is don't you? 1 quart of atf in a 35+ gallon tank = near nothing, but WILL help. The best thing he could have added is 2 cycle oil, that does good...

    Case MX110

Prices have more to do with the dealers then the manufacture. Again I can't stress enough how good the 5130-5240-MX120 series is! The best little tractors ever made!

    Favorite Tractor

The IH 856 and 5240 were the best two cattle tractors ever built!

How to protect fertilizer spreader from rust?

Pressure wash, then hand wash with soap and water, then pressure wash again. Let dry then spray down with diesel or clean used motor oil or a mix of both, spray it down a couple times and real good!
