Gizmom, We lost a very nice heifer calf to joint/naval ill a few weeks ago. First one that I can remember.

Gizmom, We will be using him for the first time this Fall. The heifer was the results of a flush we sold. They wanted to use Pioneer and he was a junior bull with no proof at the time. We've done alot of studying in him lately and I think you will be OK. krenwic

Todd Bickett is in NW GA. We've also used Sam Edwards from TN and Randall Hinshaw in VA. I would touch base with them no less than 2 months prior to flush date to set up shipping of fsh, etc. We've used all 3 successfully and they are easy to deal with.

Don't read too much into it. When you have a bunch of females to test, this is a no brainer. If he's free, you cut cartwheels (and it will have been more than worth putting up the straw). If he's a carrier, you go back and test.

Yes, I know the person who sent the sample. He shipped a straw to Dr. Beever's lab.
