Thanks wbvs. I got it last night. I did a 'prolonged' start a couple times and it finally fired up. I never did get diesel out of the bleed screw though.
The water in fuel alarm came in so I shut it down and drained the fuel filter. I accidentally dropped the plug and all the fuel leaked out before I could get it back in. I also loosened the bleed screw and tried manually pumping but couldn't get any fuel out of bleed screw. It won't start, any...
They came and picked it up yesterday and replaced the starter and called to tell me it was ready. They said the starter housing cracked and busted somehow? It has been hard to turn over since I got it. I'll pick it up Monday and check it out.
Well an update, 9 days later and I still have a broke tractor. I sent dealer an email and copied the manufacturer customer service email and that seems to liven them up a bit. However, the dealer called today and tried to balk at coming to the farm to pick it up and tried to leave me with a...
Service has actually been decent. They understand it's hay season and got me first in line last time. I'm just disappointed a new tractor is already making 2 trips to the dealer.
So how many trips to the dealer should a new tractor take before you demand a different tractor? I have a tractor with 70 hours on the meter and is about to make its second trip to the dealer for not starting. 1st time the forward/reverse shifter locked up, the gauges wouldn't turn on, and it...
Mine does it too, I think that's just inherent in the design with the pressure regulator or relief valve. A bladder accumulator of some sort may help a little.
Another good resource is your county tax assessor website. All the ones I have been on have very good measuring tools for figuring acreage in them also. Plus the flood maps will give you a good heads up on possible wet spots.
I could do the 8' post spacing pretty easy and weld some stays on. I was actually thinking of doing it similar to that Priefert Ponderosa fence if it'd work. It's about .33 cents per foot for the galvanized tubing which I think is a pretty good deal. I just don't see much of that 2 7/8" rod up...
I've come up on a deal for 14 gauge 2 3/8" pipe. That seems kind of light duty to me. Do y'all think this would work on with posts spaced 10' apart, 4 or 5 pipes high?
