I have read every ounce of literature, I have spoken to many friends and neighbors and still can't decide between tifton 85, coastal or jiggs. I have seen separate fields with all three planted years apart. Some established some just getting there. Heard great benefits of all three. And still...

She really does, I was really pleased with the last 2 bull calves. Here's a pic of last years he was bred to my angus bull. Sold him a little over 7mo and mashed the scale at just over 700lbs.

Was checkin on the new calf and thought I'd post some pics that I took today. Old cow I picked up for cheap, she's due any minute. My favorite cow #255 Her bull calf March born March bull calf and his dam Heifer born first of April #18 and her daughter #2. #2is also due this coming week

Thanks. She calved in my pen, so I locked them up in there, a lot more shade. Hopefully the heat ain't to rough on her, suppose to be over 100 for the rest of the week.

Haven't been on here in a while, just wanted to update on my heifer. She calved today and did great, no problem at all. She had a tiny heifer sire by my hereford bull.

I decided to disc up a different wheat field my cows where in all winter. Pretty much a clumpy muddy mess. Thanks for the input.

Last year I got a real uneven stand of hay grazer due to tractor tire soil compaction. Not only was it uneven but the weeds choked out a lot of the grass.
