    Whole or Term?

My policy pays a minimum of 6%. Loan cost would be 6%+2%=8% If they raised the rate to 10% earnings loan cost would be 10%+2%=12%, that's what I meant by margin.

    Whole or Term?

It still earns almost 2x's more than a cd while your "borrowing" the money. It cost 2% for the loan, not cd plus 2%. Plus: Maybe your kids are already in and out of college, but mine isn't. Financial aid is based on ALL your assets, not just liquid assets. Life insurance isn't counted and the...

    Whole or Term?

Gauranteed. For example, (using made up numbers): A million dollar policy plus accumulated cash value. If I die today my son (well, his guardian until he's 18 or 21) gets a million dollars plus a little cash value. If I die in 25 years my son gets close to 2 million. If my son goes to college in...

    Whole or Term?

No, my son gets to go to the college of choice or buy the bigger farm next door! If I beat the odds(history of heart attacks in the family) I get my money back plus interest.

    $$ ProPAIN $$

I prepaid at 1.29/gal this summer. You might do a fuel cost comparison before you buy your fuel. My electricity is $.08, if I had to pay more than $1.50/gal propane, it would be cheaper to heat with electricity. I have an older, not so effecient furnace. Here's a link...

    Whole or Term?

My whole life policy pays better than a cd, pays off double if I die, has cash value after 1 st year and I can borrow from it at a 2% margin.

Can you clarify for me, you worm the calves at about 2 months or at weaning? My offline friend wants to know.

Advice wanted on Highland Bull calf

Am I getting ahead of myself? I thought I had read that someone tried to have their angus bred but the time they were 1 year. Of course, I read somewhere else that charlois don't even mature until 3. So much conflicting info.

Advice wanted on Highland Bull calf

I think you may be right, but I really like the idea of the highlands. This may be a stupid question, but what if he became a steer after doing his duty? Or was sold after?

Advice wanted on Highland Bull calf

Does that mean you don't like highland or just not for heifers? If I'm going to eat them, not so cute might be better....
