    Dandruff

Yes, the vet said that too, but if the sunlight will kill them, I'd rather try that first than spend money, we ivomec them anyway when they go in for the winter so they are going to get it sooner or later.

Why I could NOT be a Vet............

I completely agree with all of you guys about cruelty to animals but I thought about this story which is sad, but just shows that animals that are thin are not always abused. One of my dad's friends keeps cattle and the cow had a calf, now for some reason she couldn't give milk, so the calf was...

    Runny

The vet was up and you guys were right, it was only because we didn't leave him in the pasture for a long enough time, he runs back and forth between both pastures everyday now and is pretty soft but will harden up soon. thanks for the advice.

    Dandruff

We shaved their hair so that they would look better in show, worked too, I got third, anyway the vet was up and said that my fella has mange. As long as i Brush the dandruffy looking areas everyday the UV rays will kill the bugs off. Thanks for the help.

    Runny

I think I will just feed him hay and feed for a while, if he doesn't harden up again real soon then I'm going to ask the vet when he stops by. Thanks for all of the advice, you've all been a real help.

    Dandruff

I have a steer that has extremely flaky skin and it almost looks like his skin is peeling. Since we shaved his hair short a while ago I was wondering if this might be sunburn. But he has had dry skin ever since he was a calf, just never this severe. Is there any kind of oil I could mix in with...

    lump on heifer's jaw

Well, the lump on my steers jaw is neither hot, red, it hasn't gotten any bigger, and it's not causing him any pain, so I have no clue what it is. He's still eating like a pig and isn't acting any differently. hopefully he'll be fine, I'm still keeping an eye on him though.

    Runny

One of my steers as exceptionally runny diarehha, I don't know if that's spelled right or not. At first I though it was because he had been in the grassy feild for a while but after we put him back in the other feild he was still runny long after it should of dried up. I was just wondering if...

    lump on heifer's jaw

Thanks a lot for that advice, I don't know for sure if it even is lump in the jaw because him and his partner might have been hooking each other with their horns or somehting or he could of bumped it somewhere, (When will those two ever learn??) Anyways I will see if he'll let me look in his...

    lump on heifer's jaw

yea I was wondering what that is, I just noticed a lump on my steer's jaw today so it can've been there for very long, and I'm pretty sure it's not the bone kind of lump jaw because that takes month's tp grow and this seemed to appear overnight. I'm hoping I'll get lucky like you and hte lump...
