I’ve appreciated that in addition to all the cattle records, births, and vet stuff; we have all equipment listed, vin’s, maintenance records, filter and part numbers, service reminders, track rainfall, pasture rotation. Etc. lots of extra things you can keep up with and/track in one place

If we occasionally find ourselves without internet, we we jot it down in “notes” app then move it over to cattlemax when we have service.

We run Red Brangus and have not had an issue. We sell mostly private, but haven’t done bad at sale barn either. I think it depends on health/appearance as well. At Emory sale barn I’ve watched bidding war get high quick on nice red mommas and bred heifers.

East of Dallas in to deep east Texas has gotten ridiculous. Out of state folks are buying places sight unseen. Places that were selling 4 yrs ago for $2,700 ac, selling for $7,500 acre. Had a young couple call a few months ago offered $10k acre for 40 of mine.

Stop in the winter and feed regular salt/mineral, but start putting garlic salt blocks back out before fly season kicks off so the garlic gets back in their system.

We are using garlic salt blocks and been pleased with the results.

I’ve been looking at them. The Hereford or Angus is advertised as same specs as the Priefert S04. I need a large chute and started to post for input as well.

Yes, you can use IED ear tags and link it to a scale also.
