    Brillion seed drill

I've rented a brillion overseeder in the past. It's the PTO driven model. I can buy the ground driven model for what I can twice what I rented the other one for. The one I rented did a great job on the pasture I used it in. The rest of my pastures are in about the same shape. I was wondering...

    MF 255 Question

I looked at my 255. It does not have the hole you mentioned. The operators and repair manuals only shows one zerk on each side. Most zerks are either 1/4-28 or 1/16 npt in inch sizes. I've not seen a press in zerk. I've seen press in oil ports, but I would think the pressure you can generate...

    Brillion seed drill

I've got a chance to pick up a used brillion seed drill for a good price. Right now I have a Minneapolis Moline drill that I don't like very well. It puts the seed right on top of the ground. I've need got the disks to cut into the soil at all. I am primarally overseeding my pastures. I've...

    YESTERDAY'S NEWS-Knife-FORK-Spoon

I don't know what to say, all I can do is shake my head and laugh. I think you might need a course in simple biology, everyone has to eat. I just wasn't aware that the first thing everyone gave up when stocks went down was food. I just know that this isn't the can do rural American spirit that...

    YESTERDAY'S NEWS-Knife-FORK-Spoon

Doc, Evidently you had this forum confused for a place where people can discuss serious cattle issues. It's obviously just a sounding board for our resident soothsayer to predict yet again the sky is still falling and will continue to do so for sometime to come. The issue of the available pool...

    BU$INE$$ ALERT!!

Not sure about numbers yet, but you can bet I'll be looking to improve if I can. This isnt' going to last forever, and I'm not highly leveraged. I don't believe in buying nothing for the farm I can't pay cash for. Keeps me out of trouble. Now are you saying this is going to last forever and we...

    BU$INE$$ ALERT!!

Doc, Sound advice as usual. Nothing is ever gained by doing something in a panic. HerefordSire, now that you have predicted the end of the cattle industy as we know it and throughly convinced me that the sky is indeed falling, do you care to take it one step further and predict the end of the...

I finley bought that 2500 with duromax

That is correct on the injectors, but I believe currently it only applies to '01-' 03. I've heard speculation that '04 may be included soon. As was said about the B&W ball, I would highly recommend it. And as far as TNMBP not liking the Duramax, that has to mean they are all right. :D

    dispersal

Doesn't have mean that there has been a shift in anything other than some large established Hereford breeders are getting up in years. New ones will come along to replace them. If there is any shift in Hereford breeding it needs to be toward working cattle instead of show stock, with too large...

Been making Biodiesel for 3 weeks now.

For those with expierence with Biodiesel, I have a few questions. What do you do to overcome the gelling problems in cool/cold weather? What percentage of biodiesel to regular diesel are you running? What do you do with the remaining glycerol and waste water?

How do I cope with Butchering..???

My grandmother lived her whole life on a farm and never ate one piece of beef they grew on their place. Nothing says you have to if you don't want. Trade the cow for someone else's and eat that one. Kind of the old "it's no one you know" thing. Regardless of how you approach it, it's a cow. Not...
