If he did in fact assault his father in law he's done for. So far it's just the statement from his wife. And let's face it, neither one of them are real bright.

Supposedly a city worker saw all this transpire according to the 911 tape I just heard. If he was in the wrong he would have been arrested. Which he has not been.

He was driving through TX and got stopped by the law. The TV Cam from the car was big news. A warning ticket was issued. How many people do you suppose got pulled over that day all across the state?
