Going to have about 22 heifers to ai in Feb. My goal is to steadily improve my new heifers, or to produce heavier steers to sell. Those not breed, will be placed back with low bw brangus bulls. Heifers are brangus and a few brangus baldies. Can mix and match breeds (Angus, Hereford , etc ) my brangus are not Hugh milk producers, so weaning weight is not there. Any thoughts?

We all jump in with our own breed - but - if your milk production is farely low, you might consider a moderate framed, black CE Simmental bull, like Ranch Hand, Ever Ready, Sure Bet (all ABS) or Shear Force (top 1% CE), or In Dew Time (Genex) to name a few.

You should be able to find higher milk if going A.I.,but yes brangus baldies are hard to beat.

with A I it makes choices difficult sometimes with so many choices ill put a few in for Angus Really Windy 4097 17061926 is a true calving ease bull with growth he is with Accelerated Genetics he is what i use on all my heifers. If your looking for more milk Hoover Dam 16124994 is low bw high CED with lots of milk(to much for me) but thats just a couple for the angus.
