Yearling heifers

These are our fall yearling heifers, that we are debating whether to keep or sell.
They are by our 3/4 Angus bull.
The BWF is out of a registered Angus
Mottled face is out of a black SimAngus cow. The other two are from Hereford cows.
The BWF is October, the others November.
Basing on weights of calves we just sold these should be 700+ and the lightest one maybe maybe around 650.

Well, if rwf cattle don't sell well there, put a black bull on them and sell the calves.

They sure do look good! Ought to be some good money however you go about it.

I'd be awful tempted to put a bull on them and sell as breds in spring. Assuming ya have the hay and all. Sounds like they might be a hot ticket.

I'd also be tempted hard to keep them for myself.

I like them.
I kept a lot of heifers over the years, a lot of people don't like to , but somebody has to do it.

Reluctantly we mixed them all together so the bull can take of both groups since we don't have many fall calving cows.
I'll separate them back out before too long.

I was thinking the same thing. Sell the blacks to people who think they are superior and keep the reds to make those people more blacks.
