I would have to disagree with this statement. Our cows have been in drylot all winter and have never lost hair like this heifer has.
And as u know cattle are not the smartest as they routinely take a crap and lay in it, lol.
Cattle are as 'smart' as they are allowed to be. They will find the cleanest space available to lay in.
