Wow had 6 calves in one day.

most i've had in a day is 4, on a herd of 20ish

Biggest day we've had was 10. Pretty consistent that during the first heat cycle one we get going that we will have 4-6 a day for a week or two.

I always figured 10% was a big calving day.
Day before yesterday, the lady that runs the local cafe said their cows are getting into full swing now in the middle of calving. 20 - 28 calves a day for 3 days. That should keep the 4 wheeler warmed up.
Got 3 inches of snow here last night but fortunately no wind .... yet. Fortunately, it's not cold enough to bother a cow and calf that know what they are doing.
I'm glad the truck came and got my tractors to haul in to the shop yesterday. Just hope we don't get enough snow that I would need a tractor, because I don't have one right now. :roll:
