50$ may be ok for that, but I wouldn't creep feed calves. Just my honest opinion and I'm sure you can get lots of others here on both sides of creep feeding.

Those look like some big turkey feeders I saw over in Louisiana one time.

It's not that I'm against creep feeding, I've just never had good luck doing it and never really knew if they each were eating what I thought they should each day. I used the old kind, with the frame around it and adjustable height bars in it and a bulk hopper. Some I all but had to drag in there to get them to eat, then they ran out as soon as I moved away, while the rest ate like pigs. Still got it, but it's sat out there so long the frame legs are about rusted off.
 
I would set it up so that cows could'nt get to the feed. Just calves. I don't think a calf could knock them over unless completly empty. I wasn't sure if the feed would get wet due to the design of the feeder tho.
 
I'm not a fan of creep feeding, other than to teach calves how to eat before weaning. I would put them in my hay feeding barn, take the gate off the hinges, and hang it higher where only a calf could walk under.

I remember my granddaddy having gates that looked like creep feeding gates. I wonder if they still make them?
 
Yes, I've seen them still available in some catalogs.
I guy up the road from me that raises so bottle calves every year just added some extra hinges and cut a tube gate in half longways. When he's creepfeeding, he just closes the top half and the mature cows can't get under it--he says. I think mine would just stick their heads under it and tear the thing off it's hinges.
 
I was thinking something like linking four coral pannels together so a cow couldn't go over or under and then just raising one panel so a calf could get under. However, I did see a bull stick his head under the panels, pick them up, and just walk right under carrying the panels with him lol
 
That is a poultry feeders for turkeys. It looks like it has a ring on top for hanging it. I don't think that you would be happy with it sitting on the ground. and I think that a calf could knock it over by trying to play with it.

I bought one this summer from Southern States. It's made by Tarter. I hung it in the feed barn and it works like a charm.
