I use Hi Hog - love the chute system - can be opened up for cattle or narrowed down for calves - man I used to hate those "turn around" calves in the wooden chute!
Always ask for the vido - it helps visualize what these systems can do.
A significant investment - never go back to the old ways. They are the safest way to handle cattle. Tech support is usually top notch - and very seldom required because they are made so well that there are few if any probs.
My Hi Hog squeeze - purchased new - with a transport system for towing - has had thousands of animals through it - is stored outside and still looks new.
I just grease it once a year and use it. Rest of the time I just forget about it.
Canadian weather is tough - but just ran 40 calves through it today for sorting and vaccinating in lots of wind and minus temperatures. Wife - 5 foot one - runs the catch - I run the tub and chutes. Daughters do the vaccinating and recording - took us all of 45 minutes - basically one a minute and we were done! Out of the tub - into the chute - into the squeeze - catch 'em - two needles - and out the door.
Steers went left, to their new home and heifers went right, to their new home. A couple of yearling cows that were mixed in went straight through - back to their winter pasture. Couldn't be easier.
In the end, the big outfits ALL make good systems - it's a matter of finding the one that fits your budget.
