The past couple of days we have been working the calves. We got weights, wormed and put in EID tags. I was really excited to see how they were coming along. We will get weaning weights the end of April or early May. I was super excited when the top gainer is an ET calf out of our donor SAV Blackcap May 0524 and our old herd bull Coleman EXT 6149. The 6149 bull has sure left us with some great cattle and I was so excited about this mating, we pushed the cow a bit to flush her last year, she calved in November and we flushed her in January. We got 4 embryos out of the flush put all 4 in and got 3 bulls and one heifer. All 4 are doing great, WDA on the four calves are 3.37, 3.04, 2.85 and 2.75 that is on mamma's milk and grass. Two other calves I am really excited about are out of a cow we raised then flushed to Wulff's EXT 6106 Gizmo Pride 0709 E15 4132. I have liked the look of these two heifers since they were born one was at 2.98 and the other was 2.70. Two other ET calves that Jacob and I have both been watching pretty close are ET calves out of Chloe Juanada 7009 and Sitz Rainmaker 6169 their ADG was 3.19 and 3.18. Overall I was pretty well pleased with the results but had a couple that made me sad. Two calves just not performing out of cows that have always done us a great job, age has just caught up with them, and I know it is time for them to go. This is the toughest part of the business having to send one to town that has worked her butt off for you for years. :cry2: :cry2:

Edited to change from ADG to WDA
