That is a cool picture. I voted for it. I could imagine myself waiting out a rainstorm under that mushroom. It appears to be ENORMOUS! That tree next to it is probably 80 ft. tall.
 
Great photo, wlimo. I see you're from Wales. I knew I had never seen a fern that grow up on a stalk like that before here in Georgia. Very interesting!

Thank you, yes I am in Wales at the moment.

The Fern is Bracken, and it can be a real problem plant. It takes over grazing ground being very difficult to control, and it also has toxins that can kill grazing animals. Even has very good anti chemical treatment properties.
