Had a friend drop some neat stuff by the house today to help with the hog problem. Just mounted the optics on my rifle and I seriously believe the hogs are in for quite a surprise. Got some other stuff too and plan on putting it to good use. I think the game is now in my favor but I think daylight will come too soon.

I've been playing around with it tonight and the coyotes aren't going to stand a chance either. The setup is awesome. Also have a thermal spotting scope which is much lighter and will be much easier to find the targets. Plan on fitting three rifles with this gear and setting up in a 100 acre corn field that the pigs have been rooting in. This should be fun. Anyone want any pork? Or coyote? :lol2:
 
Wack pigs one night then yotes the next using the pigs from the night before as bait. Then with any luck the pigs will come back to eat the yotes and you'll have a closed loop shooting gallery

Some soured corn, a couple gallons of fish guts, and a big ole log covered in used motor oil should ensure that.
 
soured corn and dzl fuel works good but thats dam expensive bait...and bullets aint gittin any cheaper either

btw..ive got 2 of those
 
Just got in from trying it out. The thermal spotting scope is fantastic. They can't hide. Spotted a bunch in a pasture and let them have it. Dropped three before they got in the woods. Wounded one sow and she kept making noises so I waited about 15 minutes and a bunch came back toward her. Dropped three more of these and waited again. Took a little longer this time but about eight more came out and I got another volley off then I ran out of bullets and had to go back to the house to get more. Wasn't so lucky on the second trip. Didn't see anything but some deer and a raccoon. This sure is fun and I believe the pig population is fixing to decline considerably.
 
Got just about the same set up on my sks using a 20 round magazine.I've just been using the laser light and the tactical light and mostly shooting from the hip. Ive downed 18 hogs sense I set it up about a month ago.It is absolutely a blast. And forgot got 3 yotes and a whole bunch of coons and also dillers.There just aint too much within 150 yds that can escape. The laser is so much quicker than trying to get them in the crosshair.
From my back porch to the line fence it's exactly 1/2 mile and with my green laser I can put a green dot on a tree in the fence line. After dark that is. Just amazing.
I'm now in the process of building a swivel gun mount for the front rack on my foreman. :lol:

Buzzards can have them for now and they were doing a good job this morning.

Went coyote hunting tonight but it was too windy. While swatting mosquitoes I came to the conclusion is they can give cell phones to people who don't pay taxes the government ought to give me a setup just like this. I'm pretty sure its in the constitution somewhere and if its not it ought to be.
 
If you find that clause in the constitution let me know because I want my free night vision thermal imaging 223..

unfortunately the morons running our country would be working much harder to take it away than to make sure you have the oppurtunity :mad:
