I know that at my son's school, he isn't allowed to use Wiki as a source, since it is user generated content and it is not always the most factual.

Lots of internet browser clients such as IE filter content based on age and user settings. If a child is using a computer there are reasonable safe guards in place to prevent accident exposure to inappropriate content. It is quite possible that you are so substantially smarter than everyone else that you know without a 3rd party list what is not appropriate for a child. http://www.whitehouse.com was a pornographic site for a while. This may be obvious to you. The rest of us appreciate the lists that protect our children.

This reminds me of awhile back this small town in southern mn had a young man open a full nudity strip club. 99% of the eldery women in the town were in a uproar over it they had big meetings at the local city council meetings lots of the elderly women complaining about how they didn't like what was going on in there. Claiming it was degrading to women and so on. Then this 50 year old man or maybe older stood up and told the old ladies that he really doesn't like the kind of things that go on inside of a bed bath and bodyworks store but rather than complaining about it he just doesn't go in there or even over by it as it irritates his sinuses. But he see's no reason why it should be closed down some women actually like going in there. He told the elderly women they could just do the same thing. Because there are some people that actually like to go into the young mans business also. He was forced into closing his business. But the bed bath and bodyworks store still proudly opens their doors everyday.
