that we never see ghosts naked? All this white sheets crap...
If they're just spirits why would they need clothes? I mean Aunt Kathleen died at 91 and NOBODY WANTS to see THAT or pot bellied Ben Franklin but it would probably be ok if naked Kathleen Turner came prancing thru me living room late one stormy night.

I remember as a kid the dead folks were at the house not the funeral home.
Family sat up with the dead. That was kinda spooky.
I was nine or ten and remember this event well. This was real spooky to me.
My uncle a very wealthy man owned a couple package stores on the Trinity County line. He was found by his daughter dead in he package store, he had been shot once in the chest and once in the head with a 45LC
The Trinity county sheriff ruled it suicide.
I was in the room when my marine uncle and dad undressed him to look at his wounds and called bull ****.

"I don't sit up with the dead no more since the dead started sittin up with them selves" Ray Stevens.

Yes, when my grandfather died while visiting us in Highlands Texas, his body came first to our house for part of a day, then put on a train for the trip back home to Bowie County (near Texarkana) and my father and uncle rode the train with the body, in the boxcar. Papa then laid at his house for 1 1/2 days before being buried. Never, was he left alone until he went in the ground. All us kids was 'farmed out' to friends and neighbors of my grandparent's to keep us out of the way and out of the house. There was lots of us, in '59. Not so many now.
