Does anyone have a whole house water system you would recommend? I have copper in my water. It is not from the pipes.

Do you have a brand you like?

We have 2 wells for our house & a complete reverse-osmosis system plus a water softener. Culligan handles the R-O/softener. It's like bottled water throughout the house :). That said, the water is so pure I have to use Clorox tabs in the toilet tanks because there's no chlorine in the water to kill the bacteria. Salt is a big problem in KS & we had rust in our water when we lived in WI.

Copper in the water? Pray that scrap prices go back up. Seriously, I get water from a municipal system so a softener is all I need. If copper is a common problem in your area, ask some locals.

I'm pretty sure we run a Culligan system now, not sure, we've had a couple different ones in different houses over the years. Sulfur here, Iron in the flat ground years ago. Running a softener, with salt, plus charcoal filters iirc now. Straight salt softener earlier for the iron. (and it didn't work too good). The one we run now does pretty good.

I picked up a Rainsoft water conditioning/filtration system very cheap on Craiglist for sulfur and bad smelling water--works great.
