How bad a 2 pound jar of peanut butter can hurt someone.
Luckily nothing was broke just a bone bruise on my hand.

Icing it and it is wrapped and splinted for comfort.

I was facing the shelves at the store and it dropped from the second shelf above the floor. Roughly around 16 inches. Since I was working on the lower shelves I was on my knees and had my right hand flat on the floor. Figured if it had been 1 more shelf up it would have broken my hand. Glad they are made out of plastic and not glass.

Just glad I have such strong bones too.

Keep your eye on the bone bruise and if anything starts looking funny go back to the doctor pronto. I don't remember the name of the illness but bone bruises can turn out nasty.

Jo the swelling has gone down but my hand is still sore this morning. I know what you mean and I cannot remember what it is called either but it does involve the bone marrow. Is that what you were thinking of?

Any bruise can be nasty. Had to have one ultrasounded after my milk cow had kicked me twice in the same spot. They checked it make sure it was not in my leg vein or artery. If a piece had broken off in there it would have gone straight to my heart or lungs or brain and then there would have been trouble. Luckily it was in the muscle alone.

Yes, that's it. I almost lost a leg a few years because of that. I didn't realize the seriousness of it. Didn't hurt ... much.

I must admit... When I first read this I just asumed that somebody that you weren't getting along with threw it at you...
I'm sorry that you got hurt an I really do hope that it heals quickly.

Dave it was creamy but I thought my hand was crunchy. ;-) :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

Jo I was so stubborn I continued working for 30 more minutes then I moved something and about cleared the shelves. Decided it I had better go in and have it checked out.
What is really weird this is the first work related injury I ever got that sent me to the hospital. Unless you count the time I about broke my left hand with a winch. That's a different story though.

CP I'm more likely to throw something at them then they are to throw it at me, unless they have the bosses between us when they do it. And a clear path out a door that locks behind them.
