White hairs on tip of tail switch

Saw a Bull that was purchased at production sale Saturday. They brought him home and when they went to pull hair for DNA sample the tail was very tied up tight around the tip. There was White hair up inside. It allmost looked as if it were braided stuffed up and the black hair pulled around it and tied. One guy that was also there claims the white hair is because it was so tight the blood was cut off and it made the tip white. Has anyone seen or experienced this or is this a genetic thing.

i don't think that was the case but i could be wrong...i think he probably just had white hair at the tip.
