Which protocol to use?

Help Support CattleToday:

I use a breeding chart to keep tract of cows observed in heat before breeding date starts. I will let them recycle and breed on observed heat next cycle. give a shot of PG on cows over 60 days post calving and breed on observed heat. cows not seen in heat and cows close to 60 days post calving will get a CIDR in for 7 days and PG on CIDR removal. occasionally I will use the 7 plus 7 protocol on a cow that I have not been able to see in heat. this seems to work well for me since I work off farm and do not have time to breed a larger group at one time. CIDR removal is timed so larger groups should cycle on the weekend.
